I wish Google let me also upload the before photos, then you could better appreciate the great job Max did. On a 96° day, in the blazing sun. Thank you Max and Water Heaters Only! The price included the 40 gal water heater, expansion tank, hot and cold lines, extending the gas line and new gas shutoff valves, new gas flex line, new earthquake straps, and haulaway of the old tank. And they did it all in the same day!

We had an old water heater that wasn't working properly so I called Water Heaters Only.
I had used them many years earlier and remembered the great service and also their name was easily remembered.

I was so fortunate to have a great installer. Toa Tau who was very patient and knowledgeable about what happened to the old water heater and what he
suggested we replace it with. When he left, he had cleaned up the area and took the old water heater away.
He deserves the 5 star rating.
He went out of his way to be helpful. Thank you Toa.

Max Diament Water Heater Technician. Repaired are Bradford White water heater. and I would like to say he did a fantastic job very skilled technician with a wonderful can do attitude . Max D. showed up on time with everything he needed to get the job done on the spot. My 20-year-old 40 gallon gas heater was leaking, I was looking to replace it. Max ran through all of the options and the varying costs, I got a quality heater and he worked with my budget. He did a few extra things to make the heater more secure, added a pan to hook up to the drain that was previously installed, and adjusted the water and gas lines to make them more accessible. He was personable and friendly. I recommend WHO and Max to anybody in the market for a new water heater!

This was my second time using Water Heaters Only - my first at this property. On both occasions, they did a great job. Yesterday Max D came out and replaced my old water heater. I had a contract with Goettle. They failed to respond to multiple messages, and even asked if this was urgent (no hot water in a home with 5 kids), and then didn't call me back. I called Water Heaters Only, and they were there at 9am the next morning, and were $1,600.00 less than Goettle's quote. Amazing!

The Home Depot has such a large inventory of building supplies, garden supplies, name brand tools etc if you need materials of any kind you will probably find it at The Home Depot. I have found most employees are knowledgeable about various tools or materials and they are friendly and helpful. There is a large paved parking lot well maintained and clean.

Max D. came over to our house on Sunday to inspect and replace our leaking water heater. Not only was he very friendly and personable, he didn't try to upsell us on things we didn't really need and presented us with good reasons to upsize our old water heater. He was honest about the quality of our old water heater without making us feel like he was just trying to sell us a new water heater and gave us confidence in the quality of his work. Hopefully we don't have to see him again in the next 10-20 years, but if we do, I will happily work with him again!

My 15+ year old water heater died and led me to start looking for replacement services online. After much research and self education regarding the current hot water heater market I called Water Heaters Only. I spoke with Cyrus who was helpful, listened carefully and set me up with a home visit the next day.
Max D. the technician installer called and confirmed appointment and came and gave me an evaluation, carefully explained all options and after a few negations we came to a $$ figure and work began the next morning.
Max D. is the best of the best, easy to work with, explained what was happening every step of the way, and was neat, careful, and very self motivated to do a perfect installation. It was easy to see he never cut any corners or rushed any part of the job. I had read his previous reviews which are all 5 stars so I was happy when he arrived to do my job. 5 stars here too.
Max D. is a very nice, kind, and gentle guy to work with, extremely knowledgeable about hot water heaters, installation and maintenance. 5 star in every aspect. My 18 year old water heater bit the dust on a Sunday morning. I saw that Water Heaters Only is a 24/7 business and don't charge more for weekend service, so I gave them a call. Easy to schedule. Great process. They bring the water heater with them at the time of their inspection. If all things work out (water heater will fit, they have all the equipment they need, etc) they install the same day. Final Cost was less than the amount quoted at the time of scheduling the appointment. One man job. Job took less than three hours. Julian the technician was efficient, professional and friendly. He was easy to understand and walked us through all the features of the new heater, the installation process used and all safety features.

I stepped into my attached garage Thursday afternoon to find my 11 year-old Bradford-White 50 gallon leaking on the floor. I could have avoided a mess, if I had attached a hose to the waste pipe installed by WHO the last time. I shut off the gas and water ASAP. I called the Tujunga number where Kristen set up an appointment for the next morning with Tony. He was pleasant and professional, so I asked his last name in case there was a survey. Tony Edwards was fast, efficient and did an excellent installation. It's been a week now, and our new B-W 50 provides plenty of hot water like the old one. The work was done for the promised price, and Tony even noted the $50 OFF on the old WHO sticker and deducted it. Thank you for helping us so fast.

Our old water heater died on Christmas Eve, not the best timing for trying to find a replacement. WHO went above and beyond to make the process simple. Max D. was especially helpful. He did an inspection of the basement set up, made suggestions that addressed issues we didn't know existed, provided several options to solve those issues (without any sense of him trying to oversell) and returned the following day for the installation. Amazing experience! My water heater was not working anymore and my usual repair man doesn’t work anymore. So I found this company online, I called them, someone came the next day, a Saturday. He didn’t try to convince me to replace the water heater, he just had the right piece to replace in his vehicle. He did it on the spot. Yes, it was not super cheap because the piece was expensive, I paid around $800 total, work included, but I was unfortunately expecting something like that. And since then, my water heater works perfectly. I’m happy because it is so cold right now and I wouldn’t have been able to continue having cold showers. I liked the efficiency, how serious they were, how the guy who came was on time and very professional, very nice, very polite.
If it is needed again in a far future hopefully, I will call them again for sure.

This was not going to be an easy installation. Our water heater is located in the basement of our 75 years old ranch style home in La Canada. Tony Edwards was Masterful in removing the old water heater up the flight of stairs "Single Handedly", then moving the "New" unit back down those creaking old wooded stairs. The new installation needed to be brought up to all the new CA regulations, which Tony did. The job was Quick, Clean, Hassle Free and at a reasonable price.

Obviously, replacing a water heater – especially under duress – can be a stressful undertaking. I was blown away by how helpful and responsive WHO was from the very first phone call. Absolutely above and beyond, problem-solving and troubleshooting well past what I'd have ever expected. Over the course of several days, I think I must have spoken to nearly everyone at the company at some point – Kristen, Laurie, Julian, Alex, Erik – and each person was just as friendly and helpful as the last, everyone enthusiastically willing to engage with the various frustrating nuances of our unique situation (troubleshooting from afar while we were on vacation, finding the right tank for our oddly sized/shaped space). I can't sing their praises highly enough; they were confident, competent and friendly and they all went out of their way to help us make the best of a difficult situation. Max D was the one who ultimately came for the installation itself, and he was no different – another fantastic ambassador for a really exemplary company. I can't say I hope to have to replace my water heater again anytime soon – which is ALMOST a shame, because I'd be happy to give WHO my business again. A++

I called Water Heaters Only concerning installation of a new water heater because my existing water heater was approximately 16 years old and producing only room temperature water.
The company was able to deliver a new water heater to my home in approximately four hours. The technician, Tony, was very friendly and informative, and efficiently removed the existing water heater and installed the new one.
I could not have received better service and the cost, in my opinion, was very reasonable.
I will definitely use Water Heaters Only if I ever need another replacement.

We were very fortunate today to call WATERHEATERSONLY today because being that our old water heater finally expired, we could not shower or use hot water anymore.
The prompt office response was amazing, and we met with one of their installers at our condo. His name is Tony. He explained the process he would do and gave an estimate, which was the second one we received, today and was proper and reasonable.

After asking how soon he could do the install, he told us early afternoon. When he returned with the new Water heater he spent the next 3 hours doing the install. My wife and I were quite amazed watching him doing his job and answering questions we had

Excellent all around. I had a water heater go out, and I called them to weigh repair options. They were able to determine that the heater (from a previous owner) was over 12 years old and I knew it was time to replace. This is for a rental unit, and I didn't want the brand new tenant to be without hot water. And of COURSE, all of this is going down on a Sunday.
They answered the phone immediately, described options, and by the end of the afternoon a new heater was making hot water in the unit, with a new fresh install all up-to-code and providing peace of mind.
Max was the technician, and he was utterly top notch in every regard.

My technician was Mike and he was very experienced in quickly evaluating the condition of my leaking water heater and recommending the best solution to replace the unit. He knew how to handle my existing re-circulation pump and he brought the entire setup up go code. As I was working at home on a lot of calls and video meetings, Mike's on time arrival and completion of his work in under 4 hours provided excellent customer service, with minimal disruption to my productivity. Our plumber, Tony Edwards, arrived right on time and began by explaining what he was doing to do. I agreed with his assessment and he went to work without my supervision. Within an hour he had completed the installation and called for me to see a very professional job. Without my prompting he had installed my under heater pan and plumbed it to minimize any water damage should the water heater leak again. He reinstalled the existing recirculating hardware, redirected the overflow pipe, put insulation on all exposed water pipes. He also took the time to explain the state of the art thermostat. It was a pleasure to work with Tony Edwards. I will be sure to request him should I need any plumbing work in the future.

Response was quick, same day. After Paul provided good info to help us decide to replace our 8-year old, popping water heater, Toa arrived as scheduled and was excellent. The final installed work (plumbing, earthquake straps) is a marked improvement over the previous installation, and he also left the area very clean.

I had to have my water heater replaced. I was told that a technician would be out between 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. on the same day. I then got a call within the hour saying the technician David R. Pullen will be there in an hour which made it a little before 12:00.

Our 16 year old water heater died and started leaking - called Water Heaters Only and though wasn’t able to get next-day, scheduled for the day after. Toa (the technician) arrived on time and was amazingly professional and friendly. Removed the old heater and fittings and installed a new water heater and setup. The new installation was professionally done and very clean/neat, a big upgrade and update from the previous setup. Installation was also smooth and quick and I highly recommend WHO - will personally recommend to neighbors and family in the area. Old heater and old fittings were hauled away - thank you guys!

The scheduled appointment window was from 1-4pm. Quite a spread, but not unusual. On the day of, Mike called me and notified me he could come early. He was in my garage within 20 minutes and continued to updated me via call and text. Communication was frequent and he was able to explain everything very clearly. Best part is the fix was very fast! 2 hours and he was done. Replaced water heater and also went fixed existing piping and leaks on the incoming water line. Job was clean, professional, and fast!

We discovered our water heater was leaking late last night. This morning we called our warranty company and they put in a request for Water Heaters Only to come out. Given it is Sunday we weren't really expecting them to be able to come out until tomorrow. Paul, from Water Heaters Only, called within 10 minutes and asked a few questions about the water heater and told us Mario would be out within a couple hours. Mario called less than 5 minutes later and said he would be here in 40 minutes. He was exactly on time, helpful, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Water Heaters Only replaced the 25 year old water heater in my home.
The installer, Tony Edwards, was prompt, courteous and professional. He explained what it would take to bring the plumbing up to code and was able to remove the old water heater and install the new one in about 2 hours. The price was higher than I expected but it was in the ballpark of the estimate I received from the dispatcher when I scheduled the work. Woke up today to find I had no hot water and a pool of water in our backyard. Water Heaters Only to the rescue. Within 20 minutes of my call Tony Edwards showed up and within about an hour and a half I had a brand new water heater that was tethered (my last one wasn't earthquake proof). Tony made the whole process enjoyable. He was pleasant and helpful, showed me exactly what he was going to do and what he did once finished. We chatted, my dog liked him, and he really was a terrific representation of the company. So polite, kind and knowledgeable. Very thorough too, he made sure I saw everything that he did and approved. Really thrilled to have this fixed so quickly and expertly. The bill was about what other plumbers quoted and they honored a Yelp coupon. For service this fast and this good they are a great deal.

Here is what happened on a non-suspecting Saturday morning:

I had an old Aquah 10liter tankless water heater that came with the house and it finally bit the dust!

I actually had another guy lined up to look at replacing it for me but was no-show.

So after a few Google search minutes later, I decided to give WHO a try.

The call was made around 11am. Seth on the phone was super nice. He said the soonest he can dispatch a tech was Monday, so we made an appointment for Monday.

Mike Cohen, the tech, called me by surprise around 1;30 pm, to tell me he had some job that fell thru and was in my neighborhood, and that he wanted to come by my house to look at the broken tankless water heater for a quote.

But turns out he started immediately working on replacing my old tankless on the spot! So I did not have to wait a few days for the initial appointment, and Seth came thru with his words that he would put me first in the waiting list if some opening came up.

I have not actually met a more excited water heater tech (or for that matter, any tech)! He was saying how he loved his job every chance he got, and that is very rare these days!

And his excitement shows on the quality work he does.

I really appreciated his enthusiasm, and asked if I can watch his work, to which he said, Sure! (I just wanted to see how a pro does water heater install. I know enough about it to know how hard it can be just to install a service valve on a tankless!)

After removing the old tankless, he created a harness to attach the new one, replaced the old gas valve, replaced the old exhaust vent with a new PVC vent, climbed up the roof to put a hat on the vent, welded new copper water lines, new service valve, a couple of lines for drainage, and the list goes on.

I asked him for tips on servicing the unit, to which he gave me a thorough insight and tips.

After the job, he even asked for a shop vac and a wet mop for cleanup! Who does that anymore?

And he loves his job! I love the job that he does!

Oh yeah, and one of the first things he did was give me a SoCal rebate form, so that I may get some rebate from the gas company.

Our old gas water heater needed replacement and a pressure regulator replaced. A friend recommended Water Heaters Only and they did not disappoint. Mario came to our place and not only did he replace our water heater and pressure valve, but also took the time to explain to us how water heaters work--which included patiently answering numerous questions from my daughters. Sunday morning no hot water. Tried relighting and pilot would not stay lit. Went to home improvement store and asked. They said the lead time was two weeks. Called Water Heaters Only and they set me up for an appointment the next day.

I bought a replacement part started a band aid repair to hold me over but then Water Heaters Only called and said they could be out in about an hour.

Mario answered all my questions and was in and out in a little over an hour. His work is great and he cleaned up after, including hauling away the old water heater. Recommended.

The plumbing tech, Mario, came out on July 4th (7/4/2019) to install a new tank water heater in our condo. You can tell just talking to Mario for thirty seconds that he is a professional and takes his job and craftsmanship serious. Mario drained and removed the old water heater and installed the new one. He made sure everything was safe and up to code with the water heater unit. Mario then tested the system. Like magic, we had warm water after just a few minutes and hot water several minutes later. After a day of use, I can already tell, the more energy efficient new water heater heats up water a lot faster than our previous 12 year old unit. So no complaints so far.

I can not say enough good things about this company. My water heater stopped working on Monday afternoon. Since i had a home warranty i called them to arrange for service. Because of the holiday on 7/4 the soonest service i could get was for 7/5. I called Water Heaters only and they had a serviceman out within an hour. Tech Mark did a fantastic job.

I've used Water Heaters Only twice to replace a water heater, and when I need another one, I'll use them again without thinking twice. Their office staff is responsive and helpful, and they patiently answer a lot of dumb questions as you figure out what you need.

Both times, I've also had Tony come out as the field tech, and if you get him, you're really in luck. If it's possible to make replacing your water heater a fun afternoon, Tony can do it. He's friendly, professional, and thorough. The installation is immaculate and he does a great job of explaining the setup and any issues that arise.

For the last few months our home has been under construction, which has been a long, hectic process. Then last Tuesday the water heater stopped working, which just added to the chaos. Just got a tankless water heater installed today 04/26/2019 by Michael. What a great experience! Michael is so enthusiastic and professional- you can tell he loves his job and he’s been doing it a long time. Throughout the whole process he was showing me the basic components and what to do to clean and care for the unit. He left my laundry room as clean as he found it and with no huge tank for a water heater I have a little more space in my tiny laundry room. Now I have endless hot water! He gave me an assessment of the situation and provided an estimate to replace the water heater. He had a replacement with him and was able to do it immediately. Outstanding job (invoice number 1028827). Not unusual for Angies List. Called and asked for same day replacement. An immediate estimate was given to me. The estimate was better or comparable to the other three I checked with. Was told that an installer (Tony) would be to house in about two hours. Actually it only took and hour. Gave the OK when the written estimate was given to me. Was told it would be two hours and it turned out the be exactly that. Tony did an exceptionally professional installation job. The entire transaction was without any difficulty. Additionally the old heater was hauled away. Would not hesitate to recommend Water Heaters Only and the installer.

Based on the great reviews, I called Water Heaters Only and Tony came out and gave us a quote. Tony is so knowledgeable and transparent, that within a few minutes I realized "we would be taking cold showers on a regular basis" if we tried to repair a 19 year old water heater. I did some research and saw that Tony's quote was comparable to others. Tony came back within 2 days and Voila - new and better water heater in place and the old one hauled away. Tony is THE BEST.
